Cliff and I recently had the pleasure of attending the Zin Lim expressive portrait drawing workshop at the prestigious Hamley Studio of Fine Art in Sydney. This immersive weekend was a remarkable opportunity to delve deeply into the art of portraiture under the guidance of the internationally acclaimed artist Zin. His exceptional mastery of charcoal and skilful techniques in capturing the emotions and subtleties of the human face were not just impressive, but also profoundly inspiring. Throughout the workshop, we explored various approaches to portrait drawing, from understanding facial proportions to experimenting with the interplay of light and shadow.
